Programs for Youth

Storytelling Livestream Series
Virtual support meetings are a core component, offering diverse opportunities for healing and growth. The storytelling livestream series features youth sharing personal stories about their mental health journeys in an effort to inspire hope and reduce stigma. These candid talks streamed online provide a platform for youth to connect through shared experiences and encourage others to prioritize their wellbeing.
The Mindfulness Meetups are free monthly workshops that teach teens and young adults beginner meditation and mindfulness practices in a supportive group setting to promote mental health and wellbeing. These interactive sessions aim to give youth practical tools to manage stress and emotions and create a positive community around mental health.

Resilience Circles
Complementing the virtual offerings, the Resilience Circles, (in-person support meetings) are conducted in partnership with our community organizations. These sessions provide a safe and supportive environment for mental health discussions and guidance, leveraging the expertise of our Board Directors and the resources of our collaborators.

YouTurn
YouTurn is a free, confidential one-on-one counselling program (in partnerships with our counseling practices, agencies, and clinicians) that pairs youth ages 11-18 struggling with issues related to mental health with a counselor for weekly sessions. The goal is to provide a judgement-free space for young people to develop healthy coping strategies and empower them to make positive life changes.

The youth ambassadors or hopekeepers program is an initiative aimed at promoting mental health awareness and support among young people. It involves training and empowering a group of students or youth leaders to serve as ambassadors or hopekeepers within their schools or communities. These ambassadors receive education on mental health topics, such as recognizing signs of distress, providing peer support, and promoting resilience. They act as a bridge between their peers and mental health resources, working to destigmatize mental health issues, encourage help-seeking behavior, and create a more supportive and inclusive environment for those struggling with mental health challenges.
